Q: Do
you offer a 'locater' service?
A: Yes, see our page
on “Find
A Car” elsewhere on this site.
Q: Do
you offer financing for your cars?
A: We do not offer
financing at this time. However, we do recommend several vendors who
specialize in classic automobile financing, including JJ
Best and Capital One Financing.
They offer attractive rates and few restrictions.
Q: Do
you offer warranties for your cars?
A: All of our vehicles
are purchased by us "as is, where is" and are also sold in this manner,
regardless of how perfect the car is, or how much refurbishing we've
done ourselves. It is incumbent upon the buyer to ensure he/she is
satisfied with the vehicle, its condition, and its authenticity prior
to purchase. While KCCC makes every effort to ensure complete, accurate
information on all its vehicles, we cannot and will not be held
responsible for typographical errors, determinations of authenticity
(i.e., "matching numbers," etc), or missing or incomplete information.
And while we are exhaustive in our descriptions of our vehicles, we
cannot be held liable for minor omissions or minute details. Remember,
when in doubt, ask questions!
Q: Do
you allow independent inspections of your vehicles?
A: Absolutely. You are
welcome to hire your own inspection service to come out and inspect the
car you are buying, or we can recommend a number of highly-regarded
service shops in the area to perform an inspection for you. Of course,
you are responsible for all associated costs of an inspection.
Q: What
kind of down payment do you require?
A: We require a 10%,
non-refundable deposit when you make your purchase decision. This
ensures the car will not be sold to anyone else while you make final
arrangements to complete the transaction and arrange for pick-up or
delivery. We will never sell your car “out from under you” once you’ve
made a deposit. Deposits are good for 30 days, allowing you plenty of
time to make needed arrangements. The vehicle must be paid for by the
31st day, or your deposit may be forfeited.
Q: What
forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept
electronic funds transfer (the quickest and most convenient method),
certified cashier’s checks drawn on US Banks, and cash. All funds must
clear our bank before you may take possession of the vehicle. There are
no exceptions to this policy.
Q: Do
you accept trades?
A: Yes! However, we
are only interested in classic, muscle, late-model luxury, rare, or
unique cars in excellent condition and/or with low original, verifiable
mileage. We typically do not accept “daily drivers” in trade. We are a
specialty car company looking to stay within that niche. If you’re not
sure, though, please just ask!
Q: What
if I can’t pick up my car right away?
A: No problem! We
offer 30 days free storage from the time you make your deposit.
Afterwards, we charge $35 per week to keep the vehicle indoors and
covered until you can pick it up. Any storage fees are due and payable
prior to the vehicle being released to you or your designee.
Q: What
happens if my car is damaged during shipment?
A: This is a highly
unlikely occurrence, but if damage occurs, the transport carrier is
obligated under federal law to carry cargo insurance; therefore, you
would work with the carrier and/or their insurance company to settle
any and all claims. KCCC is not responsible for any damages incurred
during the loading, shipping, and unloading of your vehicle.
Q: Do
you consign vehicles?
A: Yes, we do. We
offer a complete consignment service that is one of the best in the
business. Through our unique marketing techniques, we can almost always
get you more for your car than anyone else out there. We also have a
list of customers who are looking for specific vehicles, in addtion to
strong relationships with other classic car retailers throughout the
United States. However, we are very particular about the cars we offer
to consign, so please call us directly to discuss your specific
situation.
